ARTEAST Questionaire

Now in its 14th year the ARTEAST Studio & Exhibitions Tour continues to showcase the artists who live / work in Madison County, Illinois.  The event provides an opportunity for us to pool our resources and say to the world, “Hey look at us!”

Indeed, ARTEAST has been a catalyst in the development of our robust arts community - inspiring collaborations, encouraging exhibitions, empowering local artists and drawing attention to our region.

Artists who participate:

  • Live / Work in Madison County, Illinois.
  • Open their studios to the public, participate in an exhibition in a gallery, or coordinate an exhibit in an alternative space (such as a bank, restaurant, church, etc.).
  • Provide demonstrations / dialogue to the public about their work.
  • Submit the enclosed application and $25 fee by May 1.
  • Promote the event.
  • Support the event by volunteering in some capacity.
  • Provide an active email address.

Participating artists are promoted through a full color brochure, on the website, and in press releases.

The ARTEAST web page (www.jacobyartscenter.org click on the ARTEAST tab) provides maps to venues and links to artists’ personal websites.

The Small Works Group Exhibit features one piece from each participating artist.  Held at the Jacoby Arts Center, this 6 week exhibit serves as a preview for the weekend event.

Upon receipt of your application you will receive confirmation, along with

  • A calendar with all pertinent dates,
  • Detailed information on the Small Works show,
  • Guidelines and deadlines for image submissions.

Within this framework - the possibilities are endless.

We look forward to hearing from you!
